Makers Lab nets Two Rivers Gallery an award

Prince George’s Two Rivers Gallery has been awarded the BC Museum Association Award of Merritt for their innovative Maker Lab program that runs Thursday nights.

The museum Director of Public Programming says the night is different every week;

“We usually have about 50 people each Thursday evening, and they might have brought in a 3D printer and could be using that or they could be using our laser cutter/engraver. They could be painting or silver-smithing… So it’s a really dynamic group of people with varied interests”

The night acts as a studio workspace for anyone who wants to create pretty much anything. Equipment and mentors are available for anyone that wants them.

Anyone is welcome to attend; more info can be found at www.tworiversgallery.ca
