A winter storm warning has 10 more cm of snow in our forecast.
4 more is expected overnight, with about 2 cm to fall over Wednesday.
Freezing rain is also in the forecast for the North Cariboo and Vanderhoof, but is expected to miss Prince George.
Meteorologist Lisa Coldwells says once this storm is over, we will return to our typical winter.
“You’re looking at cloudy conditions for the rest of the week into the weekend,” she says. “Some very light snow, but not accumulating all that much and your temperatures will be around -5 for highs and down to about -10 for lows.”
City crews will be tackling the 15 cm dump of snow we’ve had already, clearing priority routes from The west side of the Hart Highway to 15th Ave. and Domano Bvld up to College Heights.
During the night shift Tuesday, crews will focus on residential routes in those areas after main routes, including: major roads, the downtown core, priority hills, schools, the hospital, business district, industrial and arterial routes are clear.
