A new discount airline says they’ll offer cheaper rates from Prince George to Vancouver than anyone else in the air.
Canada Jetlines says they will offer no-frills flights to Vancouver at less than half of what Air Canada charges.
Lindsay Cotter, Spokesperson with the PG Airport, says they are sharing our story with the airline and showing average passenger numbers.
“When we show them these numbers and we talk about what’s going on in our economy, it does bode well for the airport in terms of new service and expanded service,” she says. “Great news all-around, we’re looking forward to seeing what number we end up with, in terms of our year-to-date passenger totals.”
No solid timeline has been settled upon yet.
When Canada Jetlines initially expressed interest in PG back in 2013, they proposed a possibility of flights to Vancouver costing as little as $72 before taxes.
