Looking back at his year, Liberal MLA Mike Morris had some thoughts on what stood out for him.
The BC teachers strike and the continued efforts to bring LNG projects to BC highlighted 2014.
Morris says he expects next year to see more on the LNG industry, but also believes another issue is becoming more and more apparent:
“We’ve got post Pine beetle coming up over 2015/16, we are seeing some of the results right now with some of the forest companies having a difficulty finding enough fiber in the Prince George, Quesnel timber supply areas”
He says the Pine Beetle has also had an effect on Wildlife Habitats, and believes the challenges we are facing will determine the future of BC’s vibrant forest industry and the wildlife that it co-exists with.
