UPDATE:
BC Hydro Spokesperson Bob Gammer has confirmed power is back on at the CN Centre PG Aquatic Centre.
ORIGINAL:
An ongoing power outage and concern the lack of power could affect the quality of the ice surfaces is forcing the cancellation of all activities involving the CN Centre and Kin Centre arenas.
City staff are contacting user groups to inform them of the decision. The groups will be contacted again if the situation changes.
A power outage earlier today affected the CN Centre, the arenas, and the PG Aquatic Centre. BC Hydro is working to restore power to the facilities. The Aquatic Centre will not reopen until Thursday morning at the earliest to ensure good water quality.
A notification will be issued by the City of PG once power is restored and the facilities are fully operational.
