Prince George RCMP and emergency services responded to a motor vehicle incident involving a child at approximately 11 o’clock this morning on Ospika Blvd.
The three-year-old child was taken to hospital after being hit by a vehicle.
Police say initial indications were that the child was struck by the vehicle as it was backing up in a parking lot.
A parent was close by and the child was transported to UHNBC Hospital for treatment of what appears to be non-life threatening injuries.
RCMP said the driver remained on scene and alcohol was not a factor.
They are continuing their investigation.
