Snow won’t be sticking around says Environment Canada

Note: The original post had an error saying there would be 10-15 cms or rain, it has been changed to mms by the writer.

Despite the snow, Prince George isn’t settling into winter quite yet.

According to Bobby Sekhon, a meteorologist for Environment Canada, temperatures are going to rise.

“Starting today we are seeing temperatures hovering right around zero, as we get into the afternoon we may accumulate a couple centimetres of snow, but we’re going to be transitioning into rain,” said Sekhon.

He said we could see rainfall amounts of up to 10-15 mms tonight and it’ll heat up to about 3 degrees.

Sekhon says rain will be the main weather element for the next week.
