Suspect arrested in connection to early morning crime spree

Prince George RCMP have a 24 year old in custody after a rash of property crime Thursday morning.

At 6am police received a report of a break and enter at a house on McQueen Crescent where electronics, credit cards and a SUV were stolen. The vehicle was found nearby on Chingee Avenue with heavy front end damage.

At 7:43am police received a report of a stolen minivan from a home on Jarvis street.

McQueen Crescent, Jarvis Street and Chingee Avenue are all in the same neighbourhood.

Luckily, at 11:25am a RCMP member spotted the stolen minivan at a gas station on 20th Avenue and Victoria and arrested the lone occupant of the vehicle.

The investigation is continuing but the Prince George man will likely be facing several charges including possession of stolen property.
