The latest guest to appear at “Northern FanCon” has just been announced.
John de Lancie, best known for his work on such shows as “Star Trek: The Next Generation”, “Breaking Bad”, and “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic” is the latest name scheduled to attend the sci-fi / fantasy / pop-culture convention.
de Lancie joins William Shatner as a confirmed guest, ‘He’s got a really extensive resume’, says organizer Norm Coyne.
Coyne is giddy like a kid on Christmas to be a part of making the whole thing happen.
‘This is going to be such a crazy, massive, event for Prince George. I mean, I’m also a geek at heart, I’m over the moon on this stuff, its’ really exciting to actually be seeing this kind of thing coming to our city, it’s going to be pretty massive,’ he says.
Coyne says everyone involved is trying to land guests as strategically and ambitiously as possible.
‘These are the first announcements out of 15,’ he says. ‘Now we’ve got our “Star Trek” and our “Star Trek: The Next Generation” taken care of, now we’ll be working on stuff like “The Walking Dead” and “Game of Thrones”, if we can make all that happen.”
Northern FanCon runs May 8th to 10th, 2015 at CN Centre.
Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster.
