The new Prince George City Council is going to be a dynamic group.
Along with six councillors voted in again in last night’s election were first-time runners Kyle Sampson, 25, and Cori Ramsey, 31.
Garth Frizzell, who has served three times on council, and Murry Krause, entering his seventh term, were both optimistic about what the two young, fresh faces will bring.
“Oh my gosh what a great night. It’s going to be a great council, we’re going to have all this institutional memory that we can work with, and the new people; talk about vibrant and exciting.”
“In both of them, there was an eagerness to learn, and in addition to that, both of them are bringing an eagerness to understand where we have been and want to learn from the old people.”
“It’s exciting and we’re going to hit the ground running,” he added.
“It was a great election, great civility. I’m really looking forward to the next four years, two new young people got elected and that’s very exciting because we need to be preparing for the future,” said Krause.
“I hope they want to stay on council for a long time, I look forward to the next four years and beyond.”
