Brian Skakun was among 5 incumbents who retained their council seat in Saturdays Elections.
The 5 returning members of council will be joined by 3 new faces as Jillian Merrick, Susan Scott, and Terri McConnachie all managed to find their spot in the Council Chambers.
When asked about the “No” side of the Fluoridation debate Skakun had this to say …
“Going forward we’ll make a motion at probably one of the first council meetings we’ll get to, to stop the fluoridation. But you know, that’s what people wanted and that’s what we asked them, asked for their input, and we’re going to live with their input”
Voter turnout for this election was at 34%, slightly higher than last election’s 28.5%.
