UNBC hosting its open house

The University of Northern British Columbia is having an open house Thursday night to try and lure in prospective students.

The carnival like event will see students meet the faculty and learn about what programs and services are being offered.

There is also a travel rebate program being offered, as 500 and 1000 dollar grants are being offered to help with travel expenses in getting students up North.

Registrar Pam Flagel hopes the event will be a fun and interactive experience:

“Well it just gives the chance for faculty to interact with the community, and for the community to come up and experience UNBC and also have some fun, and play some games and win some prizes”

It all gets started at 5 pm.
