Four arts, culture, and heritage projects within the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George are getting funding courtesy of the Regional District.
One of the recipients is the Two Rivers Gallery, as $5,000 will go towards its BMO KidzArt Dayz Family Festival taking place in July.
“BMO KidzArt Dayz is in its 28th year, I believe this summer, and so it’s a two-day festival,” explains Two Rivers Gallery Managing Director Carolyn Holmes.
“It’s a free festival for families. There will be music, live entertainment, over 25 activities for children to get creative.”
Already with sponsors to support the festival, this newly granted money will go towards something else, says Holmes.
“This will help us spread the word about BMO KidzArt Dayz, not just in Prince George but through the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George, and attractive people from Mackenzie, McBride, Valemount and further afield to come down and join in the activities.”
The other recipients are The Exploration Place ($5,000), the Valley Museum and Archives ($5,000), and Central BC Railway and Forestry Museum ($2,000).
