Distracted driving month in Northern BC is less than a week old and motorists have already made some fatal mistakes behind the wheel.
Just before 5 pm on Sunday, the North District RCMP responded to a fatal crash on Highway 97 near Taylor.
According to police, a northbound pickup truck crossed the centre into the path of a semi and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
A 29-year old Grande Prairie man has been identified as the deceased.
Police believe distracted driving played a role in the crash.
