PG Fire Rescue responds to late night blaze

At about 11:06pm Saturday night, Prince George fire rescue responded to a reported structure fire at a single-family dwelling on the 2500 block of Ross Crescent.

On-site crews from three halls had to battle the blaze from the outside due to the extensive fire and smoke throughout the building. Callout crews were also needed.

One person was home at the time but there were no injuries to the occupant or firefighters.

The fire was brought under control after several hours.

Estimated damage from the flames totals $180,000.

The incident is still under investigation.
