Prince George experienced more than just a one-punch knockout south of the border.
The Cougars gave up a season-high nine goals on 34 shots against the Chiefs, taking a 9-2 beating in front of more than 7,900 fans Friday night in Spokane.

Chiefs’ 17-year-old Assistant Captain Ty Smith tallied seven points (2G, 5A) to tie a team record for most points in a game by a defenceman.
He also posted a plus-seven rating (+7).
Brogan O’Brien and Aaron Boyd were the goal-scorers for Prince George.

Jared Bethune also recorded his 100th career WHL assist in the contest, while Josh Maser tallied his ninth multi-point game with helpers on both goals.
Goaltender Tavin Grant was pulled before the start of the final frame allowing six goals on 28 shots.
The Cougars end their four-game road trip tonight, 7:05PM against the Tri-City Americans.
