Third annual Family Christmas Market held by Play Grounds Cafe

It’s not your typical Christmas market.

The Family Christmas Market put on by Play Grounds Cafe proved to be a good way for smaller businesses and artisans to have their work displayed for the weekend.

Part of the proceeds will be going towards a good cause, as Play Grounds Owner, Jeni Arnott, explains.

“The one thing that we really wanted to focus on in our community is Big Brothers Big Sisters Prince George,” she explains.

“So that’s where partial proceeds of today, and the table fees from the vendors, all are getting donated to.”

Arnott says thinking about the community was always a major factor.

“It is important for us for the focus to be on our community in general; that’s actually why Play Grounds opened, so we can have a center spot in the community where people can feel welcome and that includes artisans starting out and also the Big Brothers Big Sisters.”

The weekend-long market including more than just unique shopping opportunities, as kids were able to buy items form the Children’s Market and wrap the gifts at a craft station.

This was the third annual edition of the event.
