The last Talktober session took place last night at the Prince George Library.
Members of the public had a chance to have a Q&A at the event and talked about a variety of subjects.
The topic of how to keep animal and people conflicts down, while the city expands was one topic that came up.

Mayor Lyn Hall says the city has been trying to figure out what to do with this situation.
“So how can we sort of have that co-habitation or how do we educate builders and educate residents about the need to protect themselves from the wildlife, But it’s not just in there. We have, if you look at our city, we have a tremendous amount of Greenpeace in and outside of the city.”
So far this year 26 bears have been put down due to them frequenting public areas because of food sources.
Another big topic that was brought up was road development and new lighting in areas such as connecting Ospika and Highway 16 and the intersection at highway 16 and Vance road.

Public works Manager David Dyer Attended both session and says he gets a lot of good feedback from them.
“We learned from a couple of years ago from a few of these intersections that were talked about today are ones that are now in our process because people identify situations that ‘oh yeah okay you got a good point’ so now we are going out there. So that’s one of the biggest things I’ve gained from these.”
The city now has to go through all the comments that were given to them and will try to address the problems in the new year.
