Vanderhoof RCMP are continuing their investigation of a crash that took the life of one woman.
On Monday, October 2nd, police received a report at 3am of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on Burrard Ave. near Omineca St.
When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found a female had been struck by a pick-up truck.
The woman was then transported to hospital where she later passed away due to injuries sustained in the collision.
The identity of the woman has not been released.
The driver of the truck remained at the scene and has been spoken to by police.
RCMP say there is evidence the woman may have been approaching vehicles and at one point, prior to being struck, lay in the middle of the road.
Police are asking anyone who saw the incident, or the woman’s behaviour prior to the collision, to contact Vanderhoof RCMP at 250-567-2222.
