Prince George Urban Food Network is born

The Feast PG food and drink festival hosted a local garden panel this afternoon at the Prince George public library.

It also served as the inaugural meeting for the Prince George Urban Food Network. Something organizer Diandra Oliver says PG has been missing;

“At Home Sweet Home we’ve noticed some gaps in what people are growing in the community, and gaps around access to food. We come from non-profit backgrounds and we really wanted to use that knowledge to build relationships in the community around increasing access to food in a non business sense.”

If you would like to get involved in the Urban Food Network, you should get in touch with the Home Sweet Home Grocery on Facebook.
