After looking through thousands of public nominations, the Prince George Chamber of Commerce announced the finalist for their Business Excellence Awards this afternoon at the Ramada Hotel.
Chamber of Commerce CEO Christy Ray says this year’s awards gala will be themed as “Hockey Night in Prince George”;
“We are going to have special guest Kirk McLean, former Canucks goalie, we are also going to have an MC dressed and in character as Don Cherry. We are really working on the sports theme this year in light of the upcoming winter game… We wanted to do something light and fun that anyone would want to come to from a social standpoint as well.”
The awards are designed to help recognize and elevate special businesses in the community.
The final awards Gala is scheduled for October 25th at the PG Civic Centre.
