Health Minister Dix stops in PG

Newly-appointed Health Minister Adrian Dix made a stop at CNC Tuesday.

He said he’s “in awe” of how PG has helped evacuees.

“The city of Prince George, the people of Prince George, I think at every level: the volunteers, the city, the mayor, the community, the Red Cross, what you’ve seen here is something that not only should be recognized but celebrated for a long time.”

He gave a special shout out to all the health care workers in the city.

“It’s just to celebrate the people who work in the health system people who work for Northern Health and Interior Health who have done just a spectacular job here.”

Premier Horgan didn’t come along for the trip. He’s traveling to Washington, DC to talk about softwood lumber.

Dix adds Horgan met with the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau yesterday to talk about both softwood lumber and the wildfire situation.

Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
