Northern Police Chief honoured in ceremony at the Capital

A local police chief was in Ottawa on tuesday to receive one of the Nations highest and most prestigious awards.

The Order of Merit – which is given to members of police forces across the country – was awarded to Chief Superintendent Rod Booth of the North District.

Peter Haring an inspector for the Northern District says no one deserves it more:

“We are very proud of Chief Superintendent booth and him getting this much deserved award, the north district itself is very proud and honoured to have him as our leader”

Booth was one of 77 members who received the award which recognizes leadership and exceptional service to the community.
