The City of Prince George has issued the following statement:
The Emergency Social Services program in Prince George is streamlining its processes and lengthening the time evacuees can access services until July 30.
Those who registered at CNC were provided services for an initial period of six days; for some evacuees, that period ends on Sunday, July 16.
This requires that they renew in order to keep accessing important services such as lodging and groceries.
Renewal begins at 6:00 pm on July 16.
For evacuees in group lodging at CNC or UNBC, in addition to those in hotels, ESS teams will be coming to those locations to update the forms.
Evacuees who have made their own accommodation arrangements should proceed to the Emergency Reception Centre at CNC if they require grocery vouchers.
Please remember to have the yellow copy of the registration form to make the process as fast as possible. Again, renewal will begin after 6 pm on Sunday, July 16.
