Cody Legebokoff was agitated on the stand Wednesday morning as he argued with the prosecution and Court Justice.
Legebokoff was grilled about the death of Loren Leslie, one of four women he is accused of murdering.
He maintained that Leslie’s death was caused by self-inflicted stab wounds with his knife, while she beat herself with his wrench, as the two were parked in a rural area.
Legebokoff admitted he lied to police when they were on the scene of the death, initially.
Prosecutor Joseph Temple aimed to test the validity of Legebokoff’s testimony, asking why he would trust several individuals he knew for just over a month to kill another woman, Jill Stuchenko in his own home.
Legebokoff has refused to name the three individuals, simply calling them Mr. “X”, “Y” and “Z”, which has caused Presiding Justice Glenn Parret to hold him in contempt of court.
When prosecutor Joseph Temple asked if the “Mr. X” person Legebokoff mentioned yesterday was fake, he replied that he did not make up Mr. X.
His trial resumes next Tuesday with closing remarks.
