BC enjoys slight bump in weekly earnings

The latest weekly earnings numbers are out with BC seeing a small hike.

915 dollars is what the vast majority of provincial residents maker per week and Analyst Andrew Fields says several job sectors also enjoyed increases.

“In BC the highest growth was in educational services where earnings increased the most, we also saw jumps in real estate rental and leasing as well as forestry and logging.”

BC ranked ahead of the Maritime provinces with the exception of Newfoundland and Labrador and also placed higher than Quebec and Manitoba.

However the weekly earnings growth rate in BC rose 1.9 percent compared to the national average which increased just 1.7 percent.

The Northwest Territories ranked first in weekly earnings with 1430 dollars per week.
