It’s been a busy day for the Prince George Fire Rescue.
Firefighters from three halls put out a small fire at 476 Quinn Street S, near the corner 5 Avenue just after 2 PM. Upon arrival, there was light smoking coming from the duplex.
On scene, Acting Assistant Chief John Law couldn’t confirm the cause but called it a structure fire. It was later confirmed the fire was contained to the stove and upper cabinets.
“First-in responding units found it to be a kitchen fire that was extinguished quickly. ”
The three occupants of the house received medical treatment from emergency personnel and were taken to University Hospital of Northern BC. There were no injuries to any fire personnel.
Fire Rescue believes the fire caused about $5000 worth of damages.
