Save your change. A can of soup or box of pasta is all it takes to ride the bus this week.
BC Transit is accepting non-perishables as bus fare Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, apart of its “Food for Fare” program. All proceeds will benefit the Salvation Army.
“It’s just a way to help stock up their coffers for the holidays and to make sure that transit is also contributing to helping people get around and also provide some donations to Salvation Army,” says Prince George City Transit Planner Josephine Macharia.
After helping out the charity, BC Transit has something to help you out.
BC Transit announced it will have free bus service on New Year’s Eve between 7 PM – 3 AM.
