Prince George Cougars forward Jesse Gabrielle is officially a part of the Boston Bruins organization.
Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced Sunday morning that the NHL team has signed the 19-year-old to a three-year entry-level contract.
The Moosomin, SK native’s 19 goals are the most on the Cougars this season, and his 31 points are just one shy of F Jansen Harkins for the team lead. He also has 11 assists, 32 penalty minutes, and is plus-nine through 26 games in 2016-2017.
In 215 career WHL games split between Prince George, the Regina Pats, and the Brandon Wheat Kings, Gabrielle has 176 points (94 goals, 82 assists) and 322 penalty minutes.
Boston selected Gabrielle in the fourth round (105th overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
