UPDATE: Burr has been found and arrested.
The Prince George RCMP are asking for the public’s help to locate a man wanted on a Canada wide warrant for sexual offences committed in Prince George more than 20 years ago.
Rupert William Burr, 55, is a former resident of Prince George who has been wanted in BC since 1998 for offences that occurred in 1993. His whereabouts are currently unknown but in 1994, Burr was described as Caucasian, 6′ tall and 221 lbs with green eyes, brown hair and scars on his left wrist and the bridge of his nose.
Burr was born in Alberta and is believed to have lived in Worsley, Alberta as recently as 2015. RCMP believe Burr may know that he is a wanted man and could be using a different name.
Anyone with any information about Burr is asked to contact the Prince George RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
