Some UNBC students spent their Saturday mornings not lounging in bed, but competing in this semester’s Commerce Student Society’s Case Competition.
Organiser Sebastian Newall says students from different faculties worked in teams of 3 to solve a real life business situation.
“People show up real early, we lock them in a room for three hours, and they basically try to solve this case. They have 20 minutes to present it and a five minute question period.”
Today’s case was for a real, multi-billion dollar clothing company trying to stay afloat amongst its competitors.
A panel of judges made up of local professionals, ultimately decides who wins the grand prize of $500.
