UNBC will be a busy place this weekend as it plays host to the Artisans of the North Fair.
Event Services Manager Deb van Adrichem says there will be dozens of new participants this year.
“We’re very excited to host the 13th annual Artisans of the North Fair,” says Deb van Adrichem, Manager of Conference and Event Service. “This is a fair that’s a one of the largest in the north. It features 90 vendors and artisans and this year we have 26 who are brand new to the show.”
All artisans are from north of Cache Creek and van Adrichem says they’re all hand-picked for the fair.
“What’s unique about the event is that it’s juried and all the vendors that participate must submit their articles to be reviewed and deemed original hand crafted artwork or products.”
The event takes place both Saturday and Sunday this weekend.
“It runs 10am til 4pm. It’s absolutely free to admission to attend and we won’t be charging for parking. So come on up and visit with over 90 unique, top quality vendors.”
She says the event is a great place to get your Christmas shopping done early and pick something unique for everyone on your list.
