City Council finalised amendments to Prince George’s Parking and Traffic bylaw at last night’s meeting.
Effective immediately:
· Parking too close to a crosswalk or fire hydrant is a $75 ticket;
· Unlawfully parking in a disabled stall will cost you $100;
· After a third overtime parking infraction, fines will jump to $75 a ticket;
· Most other fines are now $50.
There will still be no reduction for paying fines early.
The new three-hour time limit downtown will not change until the signage is changed and the City installs its License Place Recognition software next month.
