PG comedian semi-finalist in Top Comic competition

With your help, Prince George comic Chris Gaskin could be telling his jokes in front of a national audience.

Gaskin is one of 18 semi-finalists left in the SiriusXM Top Comic competition. If he gets voted into the next round, he’ll be one of eight to perform in Toronto in September. If the judges name him the winner there, he’ll have a spot at three Just for Laughs shows and win $25,000.

If it means landing performances in places like Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, Gaskin isn’t afraid to make fun of himself.

“It’s something that I can hit hard, and it’s something that everyone can see and at least they can relate to it by looking at me and going like ‘Oh yea, he is very short and he does look young.'”

He’s looking for your support now, and he’s confident your votes won’t go to waste.

“I want to do my fans and my family proud so I think if I can make it to the finals I think I’ve got a really good shot at that prize.

Gaskin now lives in Vancouver but graduated from Kelly Road Secondary in 2004. He’s the only competing comic from Northern BC.
