A domestic disturbance call over the weekend resulted in two arrests and multiple charges against two Prince George residents.
Prince George RCMP were called to a home on Lorne Crescent at about 7:30 on the morning of July 16. Officers arrested two people and executed two search warrants, turning up seven firearms, one outfitted with a silencer, bags of ammunition, brass knuckles, methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, drug trafficking paraphernalia and a large amount of cash, among other evidence.
One of the people arrested is well known to the police. Ryan John Moore is a priority offender and the son of William ‘Billy’ Moore, president of the Prince George Renegades Motorcycle Club until his death in 2005. Kathleen Rose Slater, 26, was also arrested.
Crown Counsel has approved several charges against the pair, including careless storage of firearms, storing weapons contrary to regulations, possession of loaded prohibited and restricted firearms and three charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. Moore has also been charges with possession of a firearm while prohibited.
Moore has been remanded in custody until his first court appearance later today. Slater was released on a promise to appear in court on August 17.
Investigators are looking into whether the weapons found have been used in other offenses, including the recent spate of shootings in the city.
