Salvation Army food drive at Superstore tomorrow

The Salvation Army is holding a food drive at the Real Canadian Superstore tomorrow.

Community Ministries Director Roy Law is happy to accept anything you can donate.

“When you’re trying to feed 4000 actual individuals and such per month, that’s a lot of food that goes through there. We get some great support from the community and we’re hoping for a great food drive,” he says.

He says you never know when you may need to use the food bank.

“It’s not just certain individuals in need; it can be anywhere from the dynamics of basic incomes to high incomes. If someone gets hurt or disabilities or if it’s just a temporary thing like a fire or something happens, there are no answers that are just straight forward for this.’

The drive accepts canned goods and meats, as well as fresh veggies and proteins.

You can make your donation on the way out of the grocery store between 8 AM – 6 PM.
