The Prince George Native Friendship Centre broke ground on their new men’s shelter, Wednesday afternoon.
Executive Director Barb Ward-Burkitt says the new Ketso Yoh building will provide more space with better security.
She says construction will begin around the end of August and be open by May 2015.
Ketso Yoh has operated in the city on Quebec St. since 1989 ad an Emergency Shelter Program for men, opening up Recovery and Transitional Housing in 2008.
