Northern Health wants to improve children’s health care.
Its Board is holding a consultation meeting in the Skylight Ballroom at the Prince George Ramada (444 George Street) Thursday, hoping for feedback and new ideas to better children’s upbringings.
Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Sandra Allison says when you teach kids to keep themselves healthy, they’ll remember it for the rest of their lives.
“We can make huge changes in peoples’ health across the lifespan by having an early childhood that’s appropriate, supportive, and having all of the basic pieces to make sure people can grow up healthy,” she says.
Thursday night’s consultation runs 7 – 9. There will also be one in Mackenzie at the Mackenzie Rec Centre Conference Room (400 Skeena Drive) from 1 PM – 3 PM on Friday.
