It was Ron Brent Elementary Grade 5 students’ turn to visit CNC’s Dental Clinic Wednesday, all a part of the annual “Seal in a Smile” program.
The College has been inviting local schools for a polishing, treatment, and dental sealants if needed, for sixteen years now.
Dental students like Danya also get to learn a lot while working on the kids.
“It’s been a pretty awesome experience for us,” she says, “I like to be able to get the kids in and see how happy they are when they leave and their just smiling and it’s pretty amazing to see that.”
Even the younger students, Nathaniel, know it’s important to keep your teeth clean.
“You’ll get cavities and lose all your teeth if you don’t.”
The program has seen plenty of students through its first three weeks. It will run for another two.
