The Prince George Spruce Kings have acquired 20 year old defenseman Connor Russell from The Cowichan Valley Capitals.
The move completes a January 10th trade deadline deal that saw the Spruce Kings send 19 year old forward Corey Hoffman to the Capitals for future considerations.
The 6’2″ 195 pound Russell, from Guelph, Ontario, notched 20 points (three goals) and 52 penalty minutes in 58 games last season with Cowichan.
He will join the team at the Spruce Kings main training camp that begins on August 25th.
