Warriors eliminate Clippers in BCHL; home teams win in WHL

Kylar Hope scored on a wraparound at 19:02 of overtime to give the West Kelowna Warriors a 3-2 victory over the Nanaimo Clippers in a BCHL third round elimination game.

The Warriors advance to the best of seven Fred Page Cup final against the Chiefs starting Friday in Chilliwack.

Nanaimo outshot West Kelowna 46-36.

Forwards Liam Blackburn and Jake LeBrun of Prince George play for West Kelowna.

Blackburn had an assist Tuesday against the visiting Clippers.

Home teams won three playoff games Tuesday in the WHL.

The Kelowna Rockets edged the Victoria Royals 3-2, The Moose Jaw Warriors whipped the Brandon Wheat Kings 7-1 and the Regina Pats doubled the Red Deer Rebels 6-3.

Victoria, Brandon and Red Deer still lead but the margin is 2-1 in the best of seven Conference semi-finals.
