Vigilance and support are the two messages during World Elder Abuse Awareness Day Sunday. The BC Community Response Network is asking the public to be on the lookout for seniors who may be getting taken advantage of. Northern Regional Mentor Tim Rowe says the data is minimal when it comes to knowing how big of an issue elder abuse is.
Rowe says physical and financial abuse are the two more common types of elder abuse seen. He says those who feel they are being abused are asked to call the Prince George Council of seniors or the RCMP.
