The UNBC T-Wolves were involved in another close game but fell short to the UBCO Heat 57-52 Frdiay at the Northern Sport Centre.
The Lady T-Wolves held a 26-23 lead at half-time before the Heat picked up the pace in the 4th quarter to squeak out the victory.
Emily Kanester led the Heat in points with 17 while Stacey Graham and Vasillki Louka each netted 10 for the T-Wolves.
UBCO improves to 9-3 while UNBC drops to 2-11.
The Lady T-Wolves were without leading scorer Maria Mongomo who is out for the remainder of the season.

On the men’s side, UBCO built up a large lead in the third quarter and never looked back cruising past UNBC 72-50.
Aldrich Berrios was the star of the game who led the Heat with 20 points, including an 8 for 18 performance on fields goals.
Colin Plumb was the highest scorer for the T-Wolves with 15.
Marcus Mackay also chipped in 13 for UNBC.
UBCO improves to 6-7 while the T-Wolves suffer their sixth straight loss for a 3-10 record.
Game 2 of both double headers go Saturday night at 5 and 7 at the Northern Sports Centre.
