The Prince George Regional Highway Rescue responded to a fatal two vehicle crash between a pick-up truck and an SUV Sunday morning at 10:30.
The accident took place on Highway 97 near Sponaugle Road, north of the Salmon Valley bridge.
When emergency crews arrived, a 68 year old female was removed from the scene and taken to University Hospital in Prince George with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The other person, a middle aged man, was pronounced dead by the BC Ambulance Service.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
