Prince George is getting set to host the 13th annual Premiers Natural Resource Forum, on Tuesday.

The three day event at the Civic Centre is hosted by MLA Mike Morris and brings over 800 movers and shakers from natural resource sectors across province to Prince George.

“Prince George exemplifies that with everything we have; an oil refinery, pulp and lumber mills, mines within close proximity to the city and companies that service all these industries.” Morris said

Morris says the Prince George is quickly becoming an even more attractive hub for resource businesses.

“I’ve had companies come to me, re-locating offices here and part of their operations. I think we will see more of that transpire over the next couple years as LNG gets going and once our mining sector get’s going again.”

New this year, the National Aboriginal Energy and Power Association will be hosting an event, trying to match up First Nation-owned businesses and larger corporations.

Other events include a reception with Northern Development Initiative Trust to celebrate their 10th anniversary(Jan 20th). The Prince George Chamber of Commerce is holding their own reception on January 19th.
