The Northern Capitals earned their spot in the Female final at the Mac’s Midget AAA Hockey Tournament in Calgary after dumping the Fraser Valley Rush 4-0 tonight.
Sage Desjardins opened the scoring for the Caps to make it 1-0 after 20 minutes.
Marissa Nichol and Sydney Jordan added to the lead in the middle frame extending the advantage to 3-0.
In the third, Jordan Shanks would ice the game for the Capitals on the power play at 8:16.
The Capitals outshot Fraser Valley 34-15 and will face the Rocky Mountain Raiders in the final tomorrow (Fri) from the Scotiabank Saddledome.
