Spruce Kings lit up by Clippers

It wasn’t the start the Prince George Spruce Kings were looking for on their Island road trip falling 9-1 to the Nanaimo Clippers tonight (Fri).

Matthew Hoover scored 41 seconds into the game for Nanaimo on the power-play.

The Clippers would add to the lead at 9:01 thanks to a short-handed marker by Nolan Aibel.

Adam Brubacher would cut the deficit in half at 11:39 to make it 2-1.
