It wasn’t the start the Prince George Spruce Kings were looking for on their Island road trip falling 9-1 to the Nanaimo Clippers tonight (Fri).
Matthew Hoover scored 41 seconds into the game for Nanaimo on the power-play.
The Clippers would add to the lead at 9:01 thanks to a short-handed marker by Nolan Aibel.

Nanaimo would re-gain the two goal advantage courtesy of Spencer Hewson.
Sheldon Rempal would score the lone goal in the middle frame for Nanaimo giving them a 4-1 edge after 40 minutes.
The onslaught continued in the third when Matt Creamer netted a hat-trick followed by Matthew Hoover’s second marker and a power-play goal by Devin Brosseau.
