REAPS Hoping for a Green 2016

The Recycling and Environment Action Planning Society in Prince George has some green New Year’s resolutions for you.

Terri McClymont with REAPS says less is more.

“I find every time we’re spring cleaning we see lots of stuff my children have acquired throughout the year, so just be aware of that when you shop and try to acquire less.”

She adds there is one thing people should ask for to be more environmentally friendly.

“Kick the water bottle habit. Ask for a new one that is not plastic, they have a big impact on the environment and not really needed plus the water from your tap is the best in the country so it should only drink water from your tap.”

People can also be more aware of where your meals come from and to buy local from the city’s Farmer’s Market.

Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
