The UNBC Timberwolves improved to 3-4 in men’s basketball after edging the Mount Royal Cougars 77-73 in Calgary tonight (Fri).
Rhys Elliott led the way again for UNBC with 21 points while Colin Plumb led the team in rebounds with 10.
Brett Layton scored 16 points in a losing cause for Mount Royal.

On the women’s side, the Lady T-Wolves got their first win of the season against Mount Royal winning 67-60 this evening (Fri).

1st year player Maria Mongomo enjoyed a double-double scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds.
Hannah Pudlas also chipped in with 13 points while also going 6 of 14 from the free-throw line.
Melissa Moore netted 20 points for Mount Royal in defeat.
Both teams will conclude their respective double-headers tomorrow night (Sat).
