Spruce Kings fall further behind playoff race

The bumpy road trip for the Prince George Spruce Kings ended with a thud after losing 6-3 to the Coquitlam Express tonight (Fri).

Coquitlam jumped out to a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes after Jackson Cressey and Noah Turanski potted both goals for the Express.

Prince George would claw back in the second to tie it up after 40 minutes thanks to a power play marker by Adam Brubacher and an unassisted goal by Bryan Basilico.

Alex Stolley would put Prince George ahead in third after scoring on a Corey Hoffman feed.

Coquitlam would explode scoring four unanswered two of which came from Jackson Cressey who netted the hat-trick.

Erik Udahl and Cameron Bertsch also scored for the Express.

Prince George outshot Coquitlam 39-30.

Both teams will play again in Prince George on Thursday night at 7pm from the Coliseum.
